Mark is a Chartered Mineral Surveyor and Registered Valuer with specialist expertise in the mineral and waste industry. Mark manages a large portfolio of mineral and waste assets on behalf of many private landowning clients and previously led Wardell Armstrong’s Mineral Estates Team in Newcastle. Mark has particular experience in mineral estate management, mineral ownership, the negotiation of mineral and waste agreements, mineral and waste valuations, including compulsory purchase and mining code claims. Mark is experienced in providing advice on severed mineral interests affecting surface developments and has represented clients at the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber)

Charles is a chartered minerals surveyor, chartered mining engineer, and chartered wastes manager with more than 35 years of experience in the minerals and waste management sectors, including 22 years at a director level within a combined waste and quarrying business. He has extensive expertise in mineral and waste estate management, valuation, acquisitions, mineral assessments and ownership, commercial contract and lease negotiations, project management, strategic planning, bid preparation, and operational delivery. Charles brings a unique perspective and a strong commercial focus, shaped by many years in the industry.

Alun has over 40 years of experience in the mining and minerals industry, qualifying as a Mining Engineer during his time with British Coal and then as a Mineral Surveyor whilst with the Valuation Office Agency. Alun has extensive experience in valuing all minerals and waste for a range of purposes, including acquisitions, disposals and lease negotiations. He was previously Head of Mineral Surveying in the Valuation Office Agency, where he led a multi-disciplinary team responsible for both national and local taxation matters throughout the UK.
